After School Clubs - Fall 2017
A variety of after school clubs will be offered, on school days only, to students enrolled in CAILA from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm.
- Students who are enrolled in after school clubs must be picked up at their designated time which will be determined by the clubs in which they are participating.
- Not all students will be able to participate due to club space limitations.
- The clubs that are offered will be based on staffing and volunteer availability. As a result, clubs may change from semester to semester and year to year.

*Forms are to be filled out for each CAILA student.
Students will learn the rules to board games (e.g. checkers, Guess Who, Connect4, etc.) and learn the strategy involved to conquer the games.
Students will learn how to play outdoor games with their peers and friends, which enhances leadership and social skills.
Yoga teaches students mindfulness and helps them to become better people in and out of the classroom. By practicing yoga, students can learn how to exercise, concentrate better, and develop self-confidence.
Boy Scouts of America®
Offered to male students only, Boy Scouts of American teaches young boys leadership skills and “provides youth with programs and activities that allow them to try new things, provide service to others, build self-confidence, and reinforce ethical standards.” “Scouting helps youth develop academic skills, self-confidence, ethics, leadership skills, and citizenship skills that influence their adult lives.”
Students will learn Spanish vocabulary and grammar.
Offered to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Graders only, this club is geared to develop students’ dramatic and public speaking skills and help students step out of their comfort zone to achieve new possibilities.

“As a global sports ministry, we proclaim the life-changing message of Jesus Christ through the pursuit of excellence in sportsmanship and athletics.”
Students will learn piano skills and songs in a group setting using both our school piano and also portable keyboards. This after school club began last year and will be a continuation with the same students who have already learned the basic notes and hand placements. If additional space is available, enrollment will be extended new students.
Students will work in the garden and learn how to take care of a garden properly. They will learn about plants, fruits, vegetables, and they might even end up having green thumbs by the end of the club.
Students will be performing fun and safe STEM based experiments which will get them excited about learning and exploring the world of science.
